Re: Step by Step tutorial for unlocking your device and cooking your own ROM!!!

with the phone in bootloader hook up the usb.
run the rom update utility containing the nbh file.
If vista is showing mobile device in device manager then it sees it.

ok, when you try to boot does it show 3.XX for your radio? if so... then all you need is to flash a ROM

you can flash a rom from bootloader (even though activesync/WMDC wont connect) -or- you can flash via SD Card

Ok, when I turn my phone on it goes striaght to the boot loader every time

:Start of Screen:
RUUNBH
TITA100 MFG
SPL-2.40.Olipro
CPLD-9

Serial or USB depending if its connected
:End of Screen:

I had it load with the HARD SPL MFG NBH file/rom nothing going on so i then tried it with "Mattsm_23009_Sprint.nbh" and it uploads the ROM no problem 0-100% in maybe 2-3 minutes but once it finishes and i hit finish on the program the phone stays in the bootscreen and doesn't change. Let me know what other info you need and I will see if i can figure it out. I am not a dummy to pcs and tech stuff but this entire phone thing is new to me...

ok, now i have not loaded any type of radio either, just the rom, may this be my first problem? do i need to load radio prior to rom? or need to still load a radio before it will move out of bootload?

Re: Step by Step tutorial for unlocking your device and cooking your own ROM!!!

once you've gotten un-stuck from bootloader, when you boot up it flashes red letters and numbers on the bottom...
if it says 1.XX then you need to upgrade your radio once it says 3.XX then you should be good

Re: Step by Step tutorial for unlocking your device and cooking your own ROM!!!

ok, i was thinking everytime i uploaded a rom it was like a fresh install situation and wiped the past rom off, but thats not the case, i can install the first rom i did, then the matt rom, and then the radio rom and they all work together?
