I might have added slightly too much to that one as it was my first. Anyways, really just want to say thank you to Maverick for writing this post up, I would have never done it otherwise. One other thing, did anyone figure out how to get the Cellsouth banner off? I don't really think it is a problem but just a little annoying. In EPST it says US Cellular and I have tried to change it in the registry so a little confused, but I love the phone just that much more now that it has GPS and threaded text messaging!

Yeah, the GPS totally rules. As far as the Cellsouth banner, the solution is in this thread.. read a few pages or so before this one.. you have to use the QPST program, and YES, it DOES change the name for good. Meaning that subsequent flashes don't change it back.. I'm thinkin' it must've been in the radio rom upgrade. HAVING SAID THAT... I did NOT change mine to US Cellular.. I changed it to a nick name I usually give my phones heh. After all, why make it say US Cellular when I can make it say whatever I want!

1st- Go into EPST EDIT (via dialing ##778 and entering 000000 as
security code).

2nd- Change every instance that reads "CellSouth" to read "US Cellular"

3rd- *Follow THIS guide; STEPS #1 thru #9 (Disregard that it is a GPS fix
Steps #1 thru #9 is the only way I know how to get QPST to read
the Titan.) see below RE: GPS

4th- Once you've completed step #9, go to the "Display" tab in the QPST
and change the banner (you'll see where it still reads "CellSouth") to
read "US Cellular".

5th- Once that is changed (and that ONLY), press the "Write to phone"
selection on the bottom left. DO NOT "SAVE TO FILE" BECAUSE
YOU WILL OVERWRITE THE BACK-UP THAT YOU HAVE
PREVIOUSLYCREATED IN STEP #9!

6th- Exit QPST, and soft reset your phone... you're done!

"i was about to ask the exact same thing... now i've had mine up and running for about 2 weeks now, but i haven't been able to access my gps location in about a week. the first time it did take awhile now it tries to connect to gps, and i see the data connecton but it just keeps trying until it errors out.. whats the problem.. why aren't i a gps connection?"

*NOTE: You can finish the GPS fix if desired (i recommend it... it worked great for me), just make sure that you "write to phone" before going to the "Display" tab for your banner fix, or it won't take the change.

I run the first program, and i get the little rainbow thing on my pocket pc. the boot loader i think. anyways, it says to disconnect the pocket pc, so i pull the usb cord from it, and then plug it back in. but, after that, i can no longer connect activesync to it. I can unplug the usb from the phone and back, the bootloader goes from "serial" to "usb" but it willNOT connect to activesync, its like it's locked up. Am i forgetting something? please help!
This happened to me too. Now however, after I tried a few suggestions here, my phone still has the 3 color screen and says:
TITA100
SPL-1.07.0000
CPLD-9

I can't get any further than this. Should I flash with a stock rom (if so, how?) or what else can I do? I get an Error 264: Connection and then it says Titan_Radio_3.35.04.exe unable to locate component, This app failed because connAPI.dll was not found.

The device is recognized with USB, but not activesync. What should I do now?

Thanks,
Pete

active sync will not reconize the phone when you are in boot loader. once the phone is in boot loader you can run the radio rom and then continue on

At one point, the screen said something like 2.40 boot loader, but how do I get to that from here?

Use BuildOS and build your ROM. Follow the directions from there in the first post of the thread on BuildOS.

I tried it, and I got the kitchen to build a rom, but when it tries to update the phone, it shows the percentage completed bar on the computer and the phone, but then I get an "Error 262: update error"

I also noticed that the PDA phone ROM Update Utility 3.16.4.2 screen said that the "Current information about your PDA phone:
Verify:
From: Image Version: <blank>

To: Image Version: 5060

Then after I got that is when I got the Error 262.

I need a vicodin.

Thanks for your help!!
