Well, I tried the whole process over again and when I try to run Hard SPL MFG.exe I get an error that says no device connected would you like to try to copy again?

For some reason, it doesn't seem to want to connect even though it's recognized as a USB device, and the screen changes to the percentage completed bar when I try the Titan radio.

if you are trying to run the hardsplmfg.exe with the 6800 in bootloader it will not work.

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

Well I finally got the bootloader thing to work, I just redid the whole thing but I had to uncheck a box in >settings>connections>usb to pc> "Enable advanced network functions." That's when the magic happened.

I flashed a new rom, but now I can't get data to work. All else seems to run well. I ran BitPIM, but it can't find the "generic serial" device drivers it needs. Wow, I have to apologize for being such a pain in the butt. You guys have the patience of Job, but I appreciate the help.

99% of the time your EPST settings are wrong.
Go into EPST in edit mode and select the security tab.
Make sure the settings are like the post below:

Are EPST changes to get the data to work or to get the device drivers to load properly? I made the changes, but I still don't have data and drivers still won't load.
Thanks,
Pete

To get the data to work...I know nothing about getting the drivers to work.

THANK YOU!!!! I changed the EPST info to look like the post you referred to, and then I went back and compared the EPST settings currently in my phone to those in my phone's original settings which were the same as those listed in maverick's original post (specifically the M.IP settings). Five of those settings were different so I changed them back to what my phone originally had, and it was blue sky, sushine, lollypops and puppies!! I looked back at maverick's directions and it said "If phone calls and data don't work, do the following." It didn't say what part of the instructions fixed which problem (phone or data). The phone worked for me and data didn't, and I couldn't get the first part of the instructions so, based on your suggestion, I just tried the EPST part of the instructions. Voila!

I'm not sure which of the M.IP settings was the one that actually made it work, but I DON'T CARE!!! Now my phone, data, and GPS. Thanks again, now I can customize it to the way it works for me.

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

Do the programs mentioned in the first post work with Vista?

I had an Imate Kjam and the kitchens for that had to have XP/activesync.

Just moved to Titan, USSC, and trying to go to 6.1 and avoid the data connection problems..

Thanks.

What kind of data connection problems are you having?
I've not known of Windows 6.1 to fix any data problems with USCC.

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

All the data problems I encountered were in the EPST settings. The Security settings seem to be what is throwing every off.

Just make sure that you make screen shots of all the EPST screens and then re-enter all your correct data after the initial switch.
