Is there any way to retrieve a deleted Text Message???
 

I deleted a couple of text messages from a thread that I needed and now I can figure out how to retrieve them. I know that on my old Windows 6 phone, I could find them under "deleted messages" but I can't figure out how to do this on my Epic!

Anyone know how to retrieve them or an App that can retrieve them for me???

Answers:

There's no option to retrieve those deleted data. Any info that you'd deleted, there's no way to make it back again to your phone.

for some reason gv saves all mine so if you use gv check there on pc.

i tried this and another one. Problem is, I had already deleted the text message before installing the suggested app and making a back-up. I couldn't "restore" without first making a back-up. But when I backed-up, I don't think it backed-up the deleted message. Anyone know where/what file folder the text messages are stored?

If people are texting your gv(google voice) number, then yes it saves them on google.

yep thats the case, i just found it odd gv even saves them but its cool cause i give gv # out to "important' people.

How important are those text messages? to not sprint is legally required to keep a copy of all your text messages for a few years.

On windows mobile, the text messaging was kinda a hack of the email client, hence why you had a deleted history. On android and newer platforms the text message client is dedicated so once its deleted there is no point of keeping deleted history. You may be able to restore the lost files but considering you already used your phone for a bit that makes it unlikely.
