you can but I wouldn't do that because that would be leaving it open to eavesdroppers, right?

Didn't the phone come with a set of earphones in the box when you first bought it? I can't remember what I had in the box other than manuals and stuff. I know that my palm pre did... if you have one laying around I'd use it.

Well of course... that's what blue tooth's used for... man this thread is sooooo predictable! It should be closed and used as a sticky.

Edit: in the Epic forum for dummies. lol

Re: Anyone switch calls by accident with their cheek when talking?

I have to agree with the OP's stance on it being annoying. I never had this problem with my TP2 andit's proximity sensor, yet have ran into it several times with the Epic. As to those saying to use hands free I say that while it is generally a good idea when possible, one shouldn't be forced into always running the risk of accidentally hanging up the phone with one's phone... especially an "Epic" phone such as this. I do really like my phone, but this one issue has annoyed me quite a bit.

Re: Anyone switch calls by accident with their cheek when talking?

plus using the blue tooth will drain the hell out of your battery......in past and other phones, there is a option to disable the screen during a call......anybody know if there is an app that can do that

Re: Anyone switch calls by accident with their cheek when talking?

You must have a really big round chubby face to make an big issue out of it. Anyways... back to the topic:

What you're looking for is Screebl - a background service that monitors the phone's orientation, and based on that orientation decides when to allow the phone's power-saving features to operate.
There's a PRO version too that allows for integration with Locale amidst other extra features.

Also check out Shake Awake from Maplekey (in the market) - it allows you to wake the phone during a call with a shake.
I also think that pressing the HOME key should turn the screen on again. Try and let us know.

Don't flame me for the remark I made, If I helped.. Thank me.

If I didn't help, feel free to flame... oh wait. That's not allowed. j/k lol
