2.1 update 2 (sept 16, 2010)
 

epic 4g update will be pushed through today ota in phases. it is also available in store or at samsung.com (which is down currently). it seems it is not 2.2 , just a menial update. i think it opens media hub and a few other things. i will try to post the downloadable one here when samsung.com is back online...

I get a connection error...but then again I have crap service at work....I'll try again when I'm heading out today.

As long as you have the stock kernal, you should be fine. Use the 1 click unroot, get the update and reroot. Or not. This update isn't major. Just seems to add samsung media hub. Doesn't fix any of the "issues" some seem to be having. A nice little fight is about to break out at the sprint forums...

then more than likely it is gonna break root......this is an unneeded update imho.....I for one am not unless it offers something more than media hub.....:protest:

ok .. so my phone gets the message there is am update. I click to do it now n it does its thing ... phone had damn near full battery when i started it & it took 4 min from start to finish .. phone reboots and battery meter is almost gone I plug it in it says 14% .. wtf is that about ? I so hope I didn't fkn jinx my amazing battery life with this update
