This is from the link you posted:

"This will not work if you're using a modified kernel or missing Sprint Apps. You must restore both to factory before updating. If you've simply rooted, this update will not mess up your root."

Has anyone tried to verify this? I removed a bunch of Sprint apps with Root Manager - Sprint TV, NASCAR, and a couple others. Is it true then that this will not work unless I restore them first? (I'm not sure I can)

I ran TB on the whole system as soon as I installed it. Then I used Rot Manager to remove the unwanted programs. At the bottom of the list of backed up apps in TB is the list of apps I removed with RM. They are white text that has been crossed out. When I click on one, i.e Asphalt 5 3.1.5 my choices are Un-Install! and Delete. Backup! and Freeze! are not highlighted, and nowhere do I see "Restore". Is this because I have the free version and I need to buy the full version to get restore capability?

The free version only limitation is for 1 backup...do you see a smiley face next to it? if so then ti is backed up and all you gotta do is click on it and Restore should be there.

Re: 2.1 update 2 (sept 16, 2010)

No smiley face. I have done subsequent backups since I deleted them. If I buy the full version will it get them back? Or here's a better question....what other means are there for me to get these apps back. Is there an online resourse to restore deleted stock Sprint Apps?

They all have a small grey check mark next to them.

Well that's prob why..free version limits to 1 backup and my guess is you overwritten it ..paid ver can't help at this point...only option now is to do a restore..or maybe patch it with an update.zip :/
