I'm still new at this I don't know exactly how to flash roms, what a kernel is, how clockwork works, lol

xda has the official froyo update.zip. im using this syndicate rom , can i just update.zip in clock work? ive brick 1 epic already using odin & horrible instructions so i want to be sure here cause i'm about to youtube the flash.

You will need to use Odin and flash the new pit.modem. Then you can use clockwork to flash the rom. Here is the link to it on xda:

Follow their instructions.

im asking because syndicate uses di18 and there saying to just rename the zip & use clockwork IF ur using di18. i dont think sprints gonna replace another phone.

I dont suggest using update.zip method if your on custom rom..update.zip is for STOCK DI18...if you want to flash it via clockwork:

But you will still need to flash the modem via odin anyways...
