Verizon Galaxy Nexus specs confirmed
 

Google confirmed the specs today for the Galaxy Nexus to be sold on Verizon sometime in the near future. They are pretty much the same as the GSM versions but it's slightly thicker and heavier. Here is the article:

Really? Other than the camera(still wondering why they chose a 5mp?) and lack of external sd it looks pretty good. Plus for the aosp crowd, this is the device to get. Bone stock android with no sense. It uses a good chuck of ram on the Rezound but doesn't appear to effect performance which is good. Plus Sense along with their widgets, and dialer really makes the device look professional. I would bet the nexus will be really fast though. I did notice that the dimensions are somewhat big to accomodate the 4.65inch screen which I do not like. I think the screen will be amazing. I guess we will see soon enough :)

The SG2 has won many awards this year and the sales for their devices certainly prove that people want them. I guess it's just preference. I would strongly consider the Nexus due to the HD screen and large development community which will definitely follow and of course ICS out of the box with direct updates from google. Lots of options though which is good.

When is the Nexus supposed to be released? I thought it was today.

I bet it'll be out before the end of the month.

Wow they're really dragging their feet with the release! CM will have ICS on numerous devices before the Nexus gets released here in the states LOL.

I bet there just trying to be extra careful with LTE version to make sure it doesn't have any major bugs. I would think they will release it before black friday but who knows at this point. lol.
