Verizon doubling data caps tomorrow on plans.
 

Verizon to begin offering double the data for your buck tomorrow as a limited time promo -- Engadget

This is confirmed as per this Engadget article. Essentially 30 bucks gets you 4gigs now instead if 2gigs. 50 bucks gets you 10gigs. Must be LTE device though so iPhone isn't eligible. Not too shabby imo.

That's BS that they're doing it only for the LTE devices. Too bad Tmo's 10GB plan is still cheaper than their 5GB plan.

Looks to me like they are using this to promote their upcoming LTE lineup (Rezound, RAZR, Nexus). Not following you on Verizon's 5gb plan, its now 10gigs now for 50.00. That's certainly enticing and a good move on their part. Also new and existing customers ate eligible.

I thought the doubling was only for the moto razor? This will work with any lte phone?

according to the article, it new and existing customers with LTE devices. Not just the RAZR. from the article:

"Update 2: And we got the official nod straight from Verizon: "Beginning tomorrow, Verizon Wireless will introduce a limited time promotion that offers customers the opportunity to receive double the amount of data for the same monthly fee for all Verizon Wireless 4G smartphones. For example, a customer who purchases the 2 GB plan for $30 will receive 4 GB for $30. The plans is available for new and existing customers. Existing customers need to request the change via customer service or through their My Verizon accounts --- the free portal where customers can view and pay their bill, make changes to their account and purchase new devices." "

I hear that. I confirmed this deal at Verizon store during lunch and switched. lol. Getting both devices on Friday most likely. :)
