Interesting math. 1/3 of the phones were Android. 2/3rds (which is the majority, right?) were not. Flocking might imply more than 1 in three?
It will be interesting to see how long the oversaturation in essentially identical android devices helps increase market share. 1 (or 2 if you count the 3GS) apple iPhone and I believe 2-3 blackberry choices vs 10? android handset options/price points, and they still only managed to eek out 8% more than either in share. |

Heres another article from Barrons supporting the above: The Evidence Mounts: Android Taking Share From RIMM, MSFT - Tech Trader Daily - Barrons.com Oh, and if your into hard numbers, here is the findings from comScore. http://www.comscore.com/Press_Events...r_Market_Share It plainly shows that Android was the only OS that had a positive increase. All others were negative over the last couple of quarters. |
