Iphone announcement to become a free agent this Wednesday?

I know we are all huge iPhone fans on this site ;) but just thought I'd share. My girlfiend has been thinking about an iPhone, but since we are sprint customers, that is obviously a no-go.

I would do it if it were coming to sprint. I have a great deal through sprint (which I dont want to leave), and there are apps for work I would love to have on the phone, which are not available on my TP2.

Really?!? You'd honestly leave sprint because they added a phone to their lineup. A phone they're not forcing you to use? This one goes down as the dumbest thing I've read in like the past week.

So, i was in the sprint store today for a minor repair and asked the rep if he new of any upcoming phones. He stated "the iPhone WILL be coming to sprint. It would be sometime around Christmas or January." He said this was from corporate and wasn't a rumor... Unfortunately, he didn't have any info about upcoming HTC phones :disgust:
