I hope they do use windows update. Kind of dumb to have it included and not use it.

Been saying the same thing since it showed up in earlier WinMo builds.. Never saw it offer a single update!

I trust Microsoft.

It takes them a few mistakes (Windows ME, Windows Vista) to get it perfect (Windows 7).

It takes them a few mistakes (WMo 5.0, 6.0, 6.1, 6.5) to get it perfect (WMo 7.0).

I think the ultimate OS would be one that you can buy that can go on your computer as well as on your device, just on install disk. I believe if one company can get this going, you would see and explosion in development. Imagine, building an app that can work on your laptop/computer and on your mobile phone without having to write different code!

It would be great, but it sounds like the computer manufacturers are way more liberal than the mobile ones. It seems like you can already install Windows 7 on any compatible computer, but you need a carrier-specific OS for your phone. If they can bypass carrier influence, I think Microsoft would love to do that.

You remember going from 95 to ME??..OMG it was horrible....Get it fully installed just for it to crash...Or to do an install having to fdisk , format, install 95 then install ME....Waste of a disk while business users loved Win 2000 on ntsf....

It does look they are purposely aligning Win 7 and WinMo 7 to be out at the same time....Maybe there is a plan....
