Comment Ranking For News Comments 5/4/10

We've added a comment like/dislike button for the front page news articles.

This will let you rate comments to the news articles. As of now, comments with 10 likes will get highlighted and comments with 5 dislikes will get faded. We may tweak these values in the future.

Please report any issues.

Hmm, I see the same problem we faced with the "groan" or "no thanks" button.

But this doesn't do anything for rep and isn't linked to your account at all. Its just so people skimming through comments will see the ones people liked the most.
