Sorrry file not supported by your phone?

So I sent myself 3 .MID files to use as ringtones/notification to my gmail account. Reading the email from the gmail envelope it allows me to "PREVIEW" the 3 sound files letting me choose Meridian or default player. Both play the file fine, but it doesn't give me an option to download and save the files..

Then I load up the browser, go to gmail and read the same email, i click download 3 files.. It says Sorry files not support on your phone. So I click each individual file and it allows me to download one by one.

When I try to play them it gives me the option to use Merdian or the default player, but both report unsupported..

Even tho if you go back to the first part of this message you see I just "PREVIEWED" them using the same players.. LOL?

So what am I missing?
