Can't seem to flash..UMDL doesn't detect..

This is weird, I start UMDL, turn off the Allow USB in Active sync, select the bin and hit Detect, but when I connect the phone and turn it back on it doesn't detect it...the phone just uploads like usual...

i was having the exact same problem like 20 minutes ago. i uninstalled then reinstalled active sync and then it worked. dont know for sure if that was the problem but it worked so im assuming it was.

but without the usb connection active sync shouldn't come into it..

yea i know that. like i said i cant say for a fact it was the issue buts thats what i did and it worked

Might just be a driver that is getting removed some how and reinstalling active sync is reinstalling the driver you need.

I got it working thanks. Now I am just trying to disable the clock on the taskbar.

I don't think you can disable it with the newer versions of 6.5, if you want to disable it because of HTC task, you can't. I use showcase suite, it does the same thing.
