Set Hand Cent SMS as Default

How do you set Hand Cent SMS as the default SMS app? When I run the app and send a text it does not ask me to select which application. Also, when I go to Settings, Manage Applications it does not allow me to select a default application.

go to the hand cent sms settings. click on hand cent - menu - settings...but first you have to disable auto-retrieve on the default sms. same instructions. click on default sms - menu - settings. also uncheck notification in your default sms

I am unable to set the Hand Cent SMS as a default. I'm not finding the default sms-menu-settings. I disabled the auto-retrieve, and stopped the notifications. Just can't find how to set the Hand Cent as the default.
