Re: IP830w

I have its cousin the SCH-i730 on verizon, not a world edition though.
I think it is a really dead device. I haven't had it active on the network in about a year or so. It still works perfectly on WM5 (was originally a WM2003 device).
If you have some issues I may be able to help.

Re: IP830w

I was hoping someone had made custom roms for the device. I might sell mine, not currently using it.

Re: IP830w

Well from what I have learned the device specs were just too crappy on both to have anyone wate the time to make anything custom for it. Once WM5 was official on them they were already set to be discontinued. And they were both so unlike any htc device that none of the really good modders / ROM makers to want to mess around with. I would sell it, but I wouldn't expect much for it. They were made in about 2004 or 2005 so they are really outdated but still have a decent processor.

Re: IP830w

If I knew a few folks who could help me unlock and make a custom rom for it, I would........but don't know where to start.

Re: IP830w

There may have been an unlocker made for it when they were getting WM5 put on them way back in the day... maybe poke around the howard forums a bit, they may still have some lurking around that know a thing or 2.
