Home Screen Customizer, available on Marketplace

Thought you guys might like this.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=573744

Much easier interface than cHome customizer.

Edit: It works on the 11/25/09 MightyROM for touch pro 2, haven't tried it on the latest build.

Re: Home Screen Customizer, available on Marketplace

Nice find Beandogg. I'm used to using Titanium on my Omnia and I'm hoping someone can port over Neo for Titanium for the TP2, I love the way it looks. I'll keep checking to see if this works soon.

Yeah, I think if it works it would be a great aid and I think it could boost Titanium up to be a good competitor for Manila.

Re: Home Screen Customizer, available on Marketplace

Hey, do you guys mind contacting me at homescreencustomizer@live.com?

I'm trying to follow up on various issues I've been hearing. The one that alandashby was facing apparently doesn't repro with the debug version I sent him. I'd like to see if the problem you are having are the same.

Thanks!

Re: Home Screen Customizer, available on Marketplace

This app works pretty well. I installed chome editor and installed some additional panels like clauncher, atfavoritepeople and titanium notifications before installing the customizer. I then configured my layout with Chome editor prior to installing the customizer. The customizer recognizes those additional panels I installed and I am able to move them around or add or remove them as I please. The only thing is,when you remove one of the panels that were not included with customizer you can not add it again. You have to unistall and reinstall every thing. If you do it right the first time and have no problems then you are good to go. The only complaint I had with this app is the lack of extra panels, but I fixed that problem for myself. Great little app.

Re: Home Screen Customizer, available on Marketplace

This app is great and will only get better as new panels are added. This is simple to use. Thanks!

Re: Home Screen Customizer, available on Marketplace

This was updated to 1.4.

From thedumbkid's XDA thread:

"I released v1.4. You can find it on US Marketplace as usual. There are several new translations available thanks to several volunteers! The new localized interfaces are: German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Swedish.

Favorite contacts panel now shows contact pictures.

Weather panel added auto-update based on a selected interval, and it also added city search to make it very simple for using it with non-US cities.

A new panel is added for Favorite App/MRU and you can see a screenshot of it on the first post.

I actually released v1.4 earlier than I should because I've since then received more help with translations. So v1.5 will be a more minor release with no new panels being added. It'll be mainly to add even more translations, bug fixes and once I've got all the translations I'll start pushing it out to other regions' marketplaces."

I love that there are pics in the contacts panel now AND the apps panel is fabulous. This makes titanium so much easier!!!

Re: Home Screen Customizer, available on Marketplace

sadly this is not working properly on my Omnia II. It seems like a great app and makes the arranging of panels easy, but sadly the Omnia II has an annoying habit to be a pain with the panels.

Re: Home Screen Customizer, available on Marketplace

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could get this since I don't have access to the Marketplace? No data on my phone quite yet.

Re: Home Screen Customizer, available on Marketplace

v1.5 is out on US marketplace (other countries to follow). It supports Omnia 2 now.
