Hero + Exchange + Push
Anyone with a hero able to answer whether it does actual Push synchronization through HTC Sync with Exchange for email? (Calendar and contacts are a bonus)

Re: Hero + Exchange + Push
I think I have the same question. Will the Hero sync with a secure outlook exchange server just like a Wm phone (over the air). I need contacts, calendar and email.
Thanks |

Re: Hero + Exchange + Push
Yes, it will sync Calendar, Contacts and Email (but not Tasks) with Exchange servers. I've heard/seen a few complaints about secure servers not allowing it easily, but there are workarounds. I had absolutely no issues getting on my company's server. We're not national security tight, but our protection isn't anything to be laughed at either, so you should be fine.

Do you happen to know if certificates for activesync are hard to load on the Hero? |

Re: Hero + Exchange + Push
That I do not know. I did see something earlier prior to the Hero's release that said somebody had to do something (I know....really informative, right
I am not 100% sure on the server side stuff, but my guess is that if you were able to connect your previous/current phone, you should be able to connect the hero. I'd chat with your IT guy to see if he has any info. When I asked mine, unfortunately, he wasn't sure because he wasn't familiar with Android. |
