Ok here goes... windows media for Android??

is it possible? I have a bunch of movies and stuff I burned into wm formats, and would love to have windows media back on my Hero! Or another software that will play wmv/wma files...

After further investigation I have found that the Hero will support WMV9 videos. The problem I have is my DVD ripper only rips into WMV8 pocket pc. It will rip WMV9 but those are bigger files...? kinda sucks. Does anyone know of a good ripper that will rip to WMV9 Pocket PC format??

Have you tried Cucusoft Ultmate Dvd and Video Converter suite? Mp4 files work great also..

Just tried the trial version, but no luck. Hero is supposed to be able to support WMV9 but, and they do play on the device, but are BIG slow and laggy. on the TP2 I burnt files into WMV8 Pocket PC format using magic DVD ripper. Try the iphone setting on cucusoft for mp4 that's the one I used ...i have all my movies ripped in mp4

I used WMP and had it convert my shows to WMV to my TP. I use Win 7 thou. Works perfect for playing on the hero. I have not tried importing to the hero yet thou. Just used what I had on my TP mem card. Worked perfect.
