how many rings???

how many rings does it take for your 700w/wx to ring? i tried calling myself today and it takes 2 rings till my 700w to actually ring. why is that?? the signals are maxed out , but dont know why it takes 2 rings.

I believe that is about right. From having others call me when I'm right beside them it takes about two rings before mine starts to ring.

Long story short it may be related to the Slot Cycle Index (SCI) which is how often the phone pings the cell tower to check for incoming calls.

on teh 6700, with your MSL code (provided by Sprint) you could modify it to improve this. this is probably the case with the 700wx but as of now, no one knows how to access the programming menu to change this.

the other issue of course may be your ringers are too long or big.

I know I don't have one, but I can say that is the case with home phones also. I tried it as a kid, b/c I didn't believe it. It took two rings from the phone I was calling on, before my home phone ever rang. I don't know why though, I guess like he said, the towers.
