This method worked for me: http://www.everythingdiamond.info/showthread.php?t=387

You need to use a file editor such as Total Commander, so download and install that first: http://ghisler.fileburst.com/ce/tcmdpocketarm.cab

1. In Total Commander, navigate to the Windows directory and find 2330fc3c_manila. Copy the file OUT of the windows directory. Go to the properties of that file and uncheck "Read only". Click ok to save your changes to the file. Copy the file BACK to the Windows directory.

2. Download Weather Database Editor (attached in this post) and install. Launch the app, go to your Country > click "Edit" > click "Cities" > click "Edit" > click "Add City".

3. Add your city using the Accuweather code. Example for me: NAM|CA|NB|FREDERICTON (Continent|Country|Province|City)

4. Click OK to save that bad boy, and then soft reset your phone.

5. You can now add your city in TF3D and pray for sun.

it all works except that when i try to change the manila file by unchecking the read only option file resets to checked again.....not letting me edit the weather cities....I uncheck it but as soon as I press ok, and go back to look at it again the check mark is back on.

With the brain power here and at XDA, we should somehow figure a way to make our own phone, a SUPERPHONE. Those of us not as high up the tech food-chain could invest money, in exchange for stock

Re: Telus TP2 weather databese editor help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello. I'm having trouble with the weather database editor program to run. It installs but won't launch. The error says "This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft.NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device". I'm using a new TP2 from Telus.

Any Ideas? Thanks.

Thanks. I've done that but I still get the same error when I try and open the editor application. Am I being a bonehead and just missing something?
