HTC Diamond 2 (Topaz)

Hi all

I'm new to this forum and have some difficulty to understand what i can flash to my D2, what i can use as kitchen to cook, and a lot of informations even after reading informations for other htc phones. I usually use the cooked rom found at xda, but i'd like to cook myself with lastest builds, and need to be sure of many things.

Is it possible to flash a cooked rom done for another HTC ? Use a kitchen not specifically done for Topaz ?

A lot of questions that could have a place in a new forum section for the HTC Diamond 2 (Topaz), it's a really good phone, so please, open a section and help me

I'm leaning towards this instead of the touch pro 2. I just wish I could get a release date for sprint.

definitely rather have this over the TP2, idk what the fuss is about the TP2, IMO, it's fairly comparable to the TP..

I came for the Sprint release date rumours... and leave disappointed.

My wife has the Sprint Touch, and it needs replacing badly. I don't want to spring for the Diamond if the Diamond 2 is on its way... but I'm reading mixed things. I've heard everything from "1-2 months" (i.e. probably September) to "Sprint won't get it at all".

Anyone have any decent rumours?

Seriously i have been waiting for the Diamond 2 since April rumors!!!! Sprint better step thier game up and release the damn thing already. My mogul is done with now. I need a better phone ASAP. In the meantime, i will just wait cause thats the kind of phone (Diamond 2) worth waiting for!!!

I am not sure Sprint is going to carry the Diamond 2. I have not read anything that would lead me to believe they would carry it. It could be that Sprint fills this spot in their line up with the Toshiba TG01. The CDMA version has just pasted the FCC. This looks like the only phone that has a big screen and no keyboard. The phone would have to be picked up by either Sprint or Verizon.
