Full Access To NVM... Any progress?
Been searching all night, cant tell if some of the steps for unlocking $ESN and $DATA for 800w, 700wx, etc are applicable to this phone.
Anyone have any success loading a open/unlocked boot loader, and placing the phone in diagnostic mode while gaining further access to the NVM folder?

I have been trying to find out the same thing, but nobody seems to have much information other than vague comments and I can't find hardcore evidence anywhere.
One person said that they had heard of some work being done on it but it was progressing slowly and hadn't really heard much about it, and another said that people are waiting for sprint/palm to release a new ROM before work on it will continue. Basically the scene seems kinda dead for this phone right now.

Would the service manual help? It's posted over at Treo Central. Shows how to get into the bootloader & some other stuff.
