Tested briefly and works. Outstanding work.
Can you expand on what you did to get this to work? Not only woudl this be helpful for this app, but maybe for other WM6 apps. Perhaps we can get the 6 button version working. Thanks superevilllama. Please feel free to stop by the chat room to let us know what you did to get this to work and maybe we can help get the others working

Real Cool Superevilllama. It definitely works...
I tried adding my own city (Reston, VA) to the XML but it couldn't find any data so I guess we're stuck with the major cities, but COOL nonetheless!

I only had to learn russian... I wish I knew how it was done, but I can't take the credit for it. I did a about a week or so of research to pull it up and about 2 hours of transalating web sites to find the files. Hopefully others on here can modify and improve it... maybe add other tabs. |

Great job superevilllama !
I've been waiting for this OK I took the oem file from xda site and copy the HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml, HtcHome.dll, HTCHome.dll.0409.mui and flash the my phone and it works. I did run the SDK Test Certs.cab as one of my ext rom file. all seem to come up so far. I did the same thing to the 6 tab version but it didn't work, the dll file probably needed to be patch for it to work. the oem is here if anyone wants to test ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Apache/New%20Core%20OEMs/kdoweb/ kdoweb |

Very nice job. Although I don't think I can give up mobile shell for this (it just takes up way too much space for me) I know many users here prefer this one. Can you please link the site(s) on which you found these files and discussion?
I have tested the OEM package that kdo made and it is working fine. However, there is no need to manually install the certs. Simply unzip the file I've attached to this post into the OEM directory (go ahead and delete the cab file) and the certs will be inserted into your device automatically on first boot. I can also vouch for the custom weather hack that johnny2678 mentioned. It worked fine for me (though it's really too bad that HTC designed things this way rather than just being able to perform a query directly to the accuweather database). |
