We take this matter, and all matters invoolving customer privacy, very seriously. Our Corporate Security Department continues to investigate this incident. As a precautionary measure, we recommend that you monitor your account for any unauthorized activity and that you change your existing Personal Identification Number (PIN) and security question by contacting Customer Care at 1-800-300-6868

Re: Sprint "wtf"

Just be glad that you got that letter before anyone used your info to purchase a ton of phones and that Sprint was on top of that. I work in wireless, and have seen people coming with a similar letter, only that instead it was because people gotten the same info, had already changed the customers address and contact email, and purchased 10+lines on account.

Re: Sprint "wtf"

Same thing was posted over at sprintusers.com

Apparently true. Maybe.

The consensus there was if you wanted to change your info, you should do it via the NORMAL sprint *2 method, and not by calling this 800 number. Just in case all that was really stolen was your physical address, and then they used that to send this "phising" letter.

That phone number is not listed anywhere that I could find on Sprint's website. I would not call that number.

Re: Sprint "wtf"

I got nailed by this sort of thing, in DEC some douche bought 3 phones, and ran up a $1500 phone bill

I nearly brown noted myself when I pulled up my invoice...

Sprint got the charges taken care of, but didn't give me squat for the hassle of having to spend hours of "quality time" with the good folks in the fraud and investigations department
