Worth it to go from vz to at&t
Sorry if this was asked before,
With reception basically being the same in my area would it be worth switching from verizon to at&t. Im just very pissed how my phone has less ram and locked gps from verizon and is more expensive than at&t. I pay verizon for cellular service, not the features that are built into my phone.

Re: Worth it to go from vz to at&t
if you want data sprint is the way to go its a ton cheaper than both vzw or att. but besides that att and vzw are pretty similar in price range. though I would say vzw has the best customer service of the bunch.

yeah, but perhaps he doesnt have good sprint coverage where he is. those might be his only two options. i would go with AT&T personally if i wanted a TP and had to pick between the Fuze and the Verizon Touch Pro.

I don't know where you're located, but Verizon here in Jacksonville has far better service and reception than AT&T or Sprint. Verizon's data speeds here are also much better than the other carriers. For me, data was extremely important in choosing the carrier, so even with gimped phones, Verizon was the way to go. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Worth it to go from vz to at&t
Sell your Verizon TP and get a Sprint version and flash it to work on Verizon, that way it's not crippled and no cancellation fees, nor having to sign a new contract. The best of both worlds, since AT&T's 3G sucks.
You would think in a city as large and populated as NYC would have great 3g coverage from AT&T, but on a friend's Tilt he only gets 500~kbps, while i get 1+mbps on Sprint's EVDO.

Re: Worth it to go from vz to at&t
Not sure where you live but here both ATT and Verizon coverage is excellent in overview coverage but that doesnt neccessarily mean the network is better
To each his own , but if it aint broke dont fix it , when you get used to the quality Verizon offers , its hard to substitute anything else IMO. I completely understand why your upset about the Verizon Touch Pro , it IS upsetting. Personally I have thouroughly enjoyed mine so far , but if it bothers you that much then buy a Sprint TP and flash it to Verizon. Good Luck with whatever you choose! Here is a pretty good run down of service providers for Touch Pro, if all things equal:
Sprint is the cheapest ATT is the fastest Verizon is more expensive and at best same speed as sprint Alltel lol alltel |
