Changing the Opera cache location

I had been noticing that my device storage available constantly decreases. I finally found the culprit...the cache file for Opera. Is there any way to set Opera to cache its files into My Storage rather than my device? I looked in Opera under settings, but although you can adjust the cache size (and I did adjust it down from 4 MB to 2 MB) I'd really like to get it on My Storage where it can be as big as it wants and I never have to worry about it again.

Thanks,

Devin

Yes. Open Opera, go to the address opera:config.

Under User Prefs, locate Cache Directory4. Change it to \My Storage\"insert your folder name"

Screenshot of the edit you made? That seems odd.

Let me doublecheck mine, pretty sure it stuck.

Re: Changing the Opera cache location

Mine stuck. It should be noted that it will not move the old cache files. Those need to be manually removed.

Re: Changing the Opera cache location

It will create its own. But note what I said above, the files in the old cache must be nuked.

Re: Changing the Opera cache location

I went ahead and left the folder, but I dont forsee a problem removing the old cache folder. It would certainly prove whether or not the change really took place
