Read this for the original breakdown.. But the tips to unlock your Omnia are as follows:

Go to the registry, HKCU\System\State\PHONE, and wrote down the first 6 digits of the value of the IMSI entry.

1. type *7465625*638*# to set
2. type the first 6 digits of the value of the IMSI entry here.
3. type your new NCK (12345678), then OK
3. type *#7465625# to check your lock (network lock still enabled)
4. type #7465625*638*# and type your NCK (12345678)
5. enjoy.

This is a GSM hack... Here is the original thread from XDA...

cant seem to find anything relevant on the subject, but this is for GSM only right? meaning it wouldnt work if i wanted to unlock it to work on an alltel service? ive had my HTC Touch for about a year and my friend is offering my his omnia for $150 is their a way to unlock it for use with Alltel? thanks!

well since alltel and vzw merged maybe it wouldnt be too much of a stretch for u to use the Omnia with alltel....can't hurt to call and ask customer service

so alltel wont give me a straight yes or no other than well it shoud....well i dont wanna buy this phone if it should have worked but doesnt....im guessing their is a unlokcer out their for it? cause theirs an ebay auction for an unlocked one here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&Category=3312 what do yoall think, any ideas?
