It seems that the Omnia will be priced at $249.99 after $70 dollar mail-in rebate... Obviously this includes a 2-yr contract...

Also, the targeted in-store release date is December 8th...

Early online and telesales with start on November 26th...

There is no news about it going to Sprint at this time... I will keep you updated if anything breaks though... But like all WM phones... This will get cracked and be enabled to work on Sprint regardless of a Sprint version... Between PPC Geeks and XDA, anything is possible...

Thanks for the info man, this phone has a lot of potential. The main thing I like is the 3.2 inch screen, of course the 5mb camera, 16gb internal memory + sd slot, removable battery etc etc. all are attractive too. Only thing I'll miss is the keyboard but for half the price of the pro I think I'll be more then happy with this phone... that is of course if it ends working on sprint.

As of now Sprint will only allow Sprint branded phones on their network. If the ESN is not assigned to Sprint they won't activate the phone. A while back Sprint announced that they will be allowing other carrier's phones on their network, but since that announcement I have yet to hear when or if they will go through with it.

The clock speed for the Omnia is 806 Mhz... It also has

TV tuner (not sure if it is for US release)
800 x 400 screen size..

Well hopefully sprint will pick this up before the Treo Pro, otherwise Im going Palm. But this phone looks amazing. And as all Samsung phones, it should be built like a rock.
