Sluggish Text Messeging

Hello, I just recently bought my Moto Q about 3 weeks ago, has anyone else noticed the sluggish texting on the phone? I am a big sanyo fan one of my favorite things about them is the text messaging. It seems that someones words dont register on the phone and i have to go back and fix it, and you have to slow yourself down if you really want it to come out right. Anyone have any idea?

It's been discussed before elsewhere and maybe here. There are a couple of things:

1) Turn off text prediction (under Text Input Settings)
2) Turn off Multipress time out (under Accesibility)
3) Use the hack found in the program AmpTweaks 2.0 which "speeds up text messaging"

Doing all 3 will great speed up text entry.

It speeds it up yes, but alot of times when im just normal typing it doesn't register, Its quite annoying, do you think there is a way to fix this possibly or could it never be fixed? I personally can't stand it, especially for emails and stuff. even when i slow myself down it doesn't register, on some other forumns i saw other people having problems also

The issue is this: WM5 does not recognize double keyboard entries--that is if you hit two separate keys at nearly identical times, only one registers.

So the secret to typing on the Q is to hit each button independently of each other.

It seems odd but if you keep that in mind when you are typing you can actually type pretty fast and you should have very little problems missing letters.
