ROM Cooks, Any of you plan on incorporating custom windows taskbar icons??

I have been struggling with this for a while now, and there is a post over on ppc geeks about this. Some of you have custom start icons in your rom, I have my own custom start icons as well. ALot of the time it wont allow me to overwrite the start icons on custom roms. I just thought since i cant overwrite my start icons into the custom roms, that you guys would be able to incorporate custom windows COLOR taskbar icons, so we can get rid of those ugly black and white ones heres the post, tell me what you guys think...?

i use them and am trying to figure out how to cook them in. anyone wanna pm me, if so, i will have them in hibbys pro rom 1.3 or 1.4

yea i used then when i flashed to your rom but all the icons such as evdo and network wouldnt work, were still in black and white... but im using juggys rom and i cant overwrite the start icons or any of the other icons, it just leaves me with a black space where the icon should be.... but ive been following the windows taskbar post.

Cant you just cook them in like juggy did his custom start icon file? i know the evdo and network icons are embedded in the shellres.192 file. I have a couple of other file names that i know maybe associated with certain icons, i dont know anything bout rom cooking, but let me know how i can assist, i would love to see this in ALL ROMS lol

What you need to modify is the tapres192.dll and the shellres192.dll Tapres will change the taskbar icons and shellres will change the sys icons. I was trying to port over some of the icons from my old titan builds but have been too busy for now.

just take the dll's from the new sys's available in the diamond section.

Im not releasing any roms for the touch pro as i do not own one yet.

however i am working on a custom diamond rom. this is the first time ive mentioned it in public as i wont be releasing it for some time, its not done. and im not confident in it yet.

there is a vista in yay for juggs and an old mac symbol in my 1.3 rom

Try this forum over at xda...that's where I found the same vista orb that the Juicy diamond rom has in it...all I did was download the file on post two (for vga) and copied it into the windows folder...oh yeah I had to change the 040C in the name to 0409 for english...but it worked for me on JD's 5.0

But how do you COOK it in? You have a whole custom bar I can't seem to get it to cook in even if I use it as a cab or oem package?
