assign a second key long press?

are there any hack that would allow me to assign a second long-press key in start>settings>buttons so that i can have one set for screen rotate and one to launch voice command? maybe the D-pad cener button for instance, i only have the option to set the send key for a long press command. i'm using DHarvey's rom and i love it, but since i like texting in landscape i cant figure out a way to launch voice command. any ideas? Thanks

Re: assign a second key long press?

good question, it would be nice to have something to use to create "long press" keys for all the hardware buttons...

Re: assign a second key long press?

Check out HButton. I don't think it's able to give you long-press functionality on the other hardware buttons on the Diamond, but it is able to give you multiple functions on the long-press.
Hope that helps!
Myke...

Re: assign a second key long press?

Use aebuttonplus. It can remap all of the keys. I use the long press as an extra option on the send and end keys and have remapped the home and back keys too. You can remap all of them for single, double, triple and long presses. Massive amount of options.

It works. You have to add the button as a custom button.

So I Add Key and press the home button. It registers it as 00E9. And I assign it to bring down the Start menu.

After I do that, it only works when i'm NOT in home screen. For example, if i'm using file explorer and press the home button, the Start menu appears. But when i'm at home screen, it doesn't do anything.

It doesn't work inside of TF3D. I dumped that mess long ago. So much faster using quickmenu.

Thanks! I searched xda, and the conclusion is we can't map the home button. At least in TF3D.
