Cloning the GSM Roms
Hey Guys,
First, mad props to the teams that have put this stuff together. I'm absolutely blown away by the talent and efforts that I see here. I got my Sprint Diamond a week ago and found the xda-developers forum. I got really into the idea of some of the roms that I saw over there but I see that they are not compatible with our CDMA devices. I was wondering if it would be possible to take a rom from xda, "un-cook" it then mix it into the roms that we have over here. Any idea if this would be possible? |

Re: Cloning the GSM Roms
Yes and no.
Most of the applications should be compatible with our devices and a good portion of the custom applications are taken from those GSM ROMs. If you can get those roms back from an nbh to a packaged kitchen (assuming the chef hasn't specifically made it so you can't) then you can simply copy any folders from the OEM folder over to your own OEM folder in the Diamond Kitchen, and there's a good chance they'll work if they're compatible. |

Re: Cloning the GSM Roms
Yeah, I was going to take a stab at it. There's a lot of stuff in those roms that look cool.
Of course, I have to clean the house today and go to work tomorrow... so... |

Re: Cloning the GSM Roms
Most all of those components that you are looking for are available at xda's. Why not take the components your looking for and add them to gf's kitchen and cook them in yourself? the key to a rom is making them all work together...
