8525 WM6 upgrade error

Howdy!
I am trying to upgrade my 8525 to WM6. I got the RUU file from HTC (back when they had it on their website) but am now just getting around to loading it. When I run the RUU, all goes well until it tries to download to the 8525 - then the 8525 screen goes blank and activesync goes away and the RUU tells me I have a connection error. What gives?
