Remove Volume Icon?

Is there a registry entry to remove the volume icon from the very top bar? I'm using magic button and I want to see more than 2 open applications without covering up my signal strength meter. The volume icon is kind of redundant since the 6700 has a hard key already assigned to the volume control.

I did some searching on this site, google, and through the registry, but didn't see anything.

Re: Remove Volume Icon?

Did you ever figure this out? The speaker icon has all of a sudden appeared in my icon list and is very annoying since it takes up so much space yet is useless since the TP has it's own volume keys....
