Treo 800W has Direct3D? Maybe
From this post on WMExperts , it seems the Treo 800W is faster cause it might have the D3D drivers on the device..

*Sigh* Yes, that's because Palm doesn't use Qualcomm's chipset.
D3D and Direct Draw drivers exist, its just been a problem since HTC started using chips that don't have drivers available without some complicated licensing.
