Mogul vx. pp6700

I'm sure some of you are thinking about upgrading. These are the differences that I see relating to my usage. My ppc6700 had been upgraded to WM6.

1. EVDO Rev. A - I thought that this would be one of my main reasons for the Mogul, but in real life situations, I notice very little difference. Video streaming works on either.
2. Screen - For whatever reason, the Mogul screen seems much brighter and clearer to me.
3. GPS - This has turned out to be probably the main reason I prefer the Mogu.
4. Sprint TV - Works on Mogul with the proper cabs. Not really a big deal. Slingbox is probably the way to go.
5. Size - I prefer the smaller, thinner size of the Mogul.
6. Other - I'm sure there are other reasons and I'd appreciate if you would expound on them based on your usage.

Re: Mogul vx. pp6700

I posted this comparison on another forum a little while ago.

http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6...-thoughts.html

Since then my feelings are still the same, I still think the Mogul kicks a lot of a$$.

Re: Mogul vx. pp6700

I've upgraded from a 6700 to a 6800 and found the 6800 leaps and bounds better. Smaller form factor and built in GPS are the top two reasons I do not regret for a second to have upgraded to the 6800.

yeah, it's better.

Biggest negative? No antenna bump, so half the time you're holding it upside down

Re: Mogul vx. pp6700

The ONLY endearing quality of the Mogul versus the Apache is GPS. I was using a Garmin bluetooth receiver with my Apache, & while it's tiny, I still hated carrying around two devices (I still have it by the way if anyone's interested *ha*). My Apache finally bit the dust 6 months ago, and while I love the form factor of the Mogul (thin, no antenna, etc..), the Apache is light years ahead in terms of sheer speed. I was using a Kirvin clean & simple rom and it was super fast. I use the latest & greatest No2chem roms these days, and while they're the best out there, they still don't compare to my old Apache as far as the speed & responsiveness of the rom. Now if they ever figure out how to over clock this crazy qualcomm chip, then hopefully I'll be eating my words.

I'm one of those people that needs a slide-out qwerty keyboards, can never turn back to a touch screen keyboard or blackberry style face keyboards *shudder
