VFIrD on HP Pavilion Notebooks
Hey Geeks I need some info on my Pavilion notebook. I have a dv4000 (dv4129us) and it has a Ir port on the front and a remote that came with it. I would like to know if I can sync my Apache with it. I can not fiend any info on how this device is embedded in the pc. There is no device in the Device Manager for infrared but its on the pc and working with the remote. I just did a fresh install of XP thinking the icon (Wireless Link and files) was just missing but still no luck.

Re: VFIrD on HP Pavilion Notebooks
not possible, the ir port is set up as a keyboard, not full function irda. the remote sends ir signals that the reciever picks up and translates only to keyboard shortcuts.
