Custom Rom

I was wondering what the advantages are to having a custom rom. I am a noob and would like to know if custom was worth it.

depends on wht u want there are custom roms out there that are very clean but run very well which is wht i use and then there are roms that are loade with apps and run wll too but may have sme customizationsyou dont like.

i was wondering if i should switch back to WM 6.1 or keep the official htc rom update i notice a small diiference in internet speed favoring the WM 6.1 and jus device speed as well both freezes up when im downloading a torrent file while charging i jus dont reely see the special difference with this official update......im jus lookin for a nice clean speedy rom if anyone knows of any with gps and rev A or rev A equivilelent then please pas on the INFO!

I use No2Chem's roms. They work very fast and are pretty clean. IMHO, they are faster than stock and also handle battery life better. You can also try DCD's or NexVisions Roms. DCD's is extremely clean and Nex's add a lot of apps to his so that you don't have to add too much after flashing.
