Device Freezes with WM6.1

I have flashed my device with almost all of the WM6.1 roms available and have settled with no2chem's clean ROM. With each one my phone would randomly lock up but only while I was using it (never while in standby).

Sometimes I would be in a game, sometimes in my calendar, contacts, start menu, etc.. The device freezes and the backlight stays lit. The only thing to do is to pull the battery from the device and start over.

Anyone else experience it? Anyone know the issue and have the resolution?

You can't even soft reset the device? I've never experienced that using no2chem's clean rom (v107). I've had the odd lockup here while actively doing something (usually in SPB Insight) but a quick soft reset fixed all. -e.

the only occaisional lockups i get are from PIE. still dont know what the cause of it is.

I am now using the same version. I haven't tried doing a soft reset. Next time I will.

I get them in random APPs. PIE has been one of them.

whats the pagepool set at? on another rom people have noticed these things. after setting the pagepool lower it seems to help alot.

same here went back to 6.0 big_storage rom
i'll wait till official 6.1 comes out maybe something will be fixed

I think I set my pagepool at 24. I will be getting a replacement phone in the next few days and when I flash that one I will try 18 to see if that helps.

I'm also getting random freezes with 6.1. There's been a couple threads on it so far, and I haven't seen a fix for those of us that get it doing random things on the phone. There have been fixes for freezes during long conversations, but I'm getting it without making calls.

Are you suggesting that the high pagepool is to blame for the lockups?

doh, just read one of the earlier posts that suggests just that. What's a safe pagepool size? Is there a performance hit lowering it down?
