Question 8525 memory

Please forgive my ignorance but I need help. I have two 8525 phones. On both, we suddenly get a message that all memory is gone. Where is it going? Out of 41 meg, I can't account for why it goes from 16 or so available to no memory. The only solution I have gotten from Cingular is to clear the phone. That is a painful process. There must be a way to find out what is taking up memory. By the way, I have not added new programs and I put everything I can on the card rather than in the device. Help.

Are you talking about program memory or storage memory?

Program memory is easily freed up by closing apps. When you hit the X on top the programs don't really close. You should download a utility that will do this automatically (I recommend MAGIC BUTTON myself)

If you are talking about storage memory, then you will have to clear some. The easiest and quickest is to delete Internet Explorer cache. Open IE and go to menu-tools-options- memory tab- delete files
