2 Questions!

Ok I am brand new here to this community, came from everythingQ.com but now have a brand new vogue (xv 6900) from verizon and have a few questions as i learn everything about this device that is possible.

Question 1:

Is there a way to lower the sensitivity of the volume rocker on the side of the phoen? It seems that when I hit it up once or down once for a second it spazzes and goes to full or no volume and beeps 10 times like i was holding it for a while..

Question 2:

Is there any way to remap the Verizon HTC Home Plugin buttons? The 5 buttons are the phone, lock, messages, cart, photos buttons that I want to remap so that specific programs open when i click on them...and if there is a way to change the icons accordingly.

Question 2 is probably answered the same for your Verizon Touch as for the Sprint Touch, and it involves some XML hacks. Old Man Jenkins provided good info here:

Ok I tried it and did everything and set it all up, with notepad on my computer, then placed it back on the phone and attempted to move the ql_skin_p.xml back to the Windows directory to replace the old one, it says I can't, then to check if its read only or whatever blah blah.

any ideas as to how I can edit it within the phone maybe or some other way? The only way I can figure out how to open it is as an .xml file on PC IE..which wnot let me edit it

Right click on the .xml file and select 'Open With...' Then select Notepad from the list.

Within the phone menu's? Because Open With.. doesn't show as an option.

I can copy it to my computer and open with Notepad but cant get it back into the \Windows directory on the phone.

Sorry if I am somewhat dumb at this right now...

try renaming the file thats in the windows folder, to like xxxxx(1), and then transfer the new file in there. sometimes u can rename files, even if you cant delete them or replace them.

K sorry guys if this is seems annoying...but I just can't seem how to replace the ql_skin_p file....

I have tried rename (it is impossible to rename/won't let me), I have tried to copy/paste from within the phone into the \Windows folder, won't let me. I have tried everything to replace the file with the new one....cna't figure out how to edit/replace it..either or.

It says make sure I have memory, it might not be writable or w/e system file like error or make sure it is not in use but I have the HTC verizon homescreen plugin disabled.....
