Ok so this has been 100% confirmed. Something in this rar file is making the keyboard work with vibration and no disappearing visual feedback. Don't know which file in particular. I cooked a stripped rom with these files added in and the rgu and the keyboard worked. Without adding 3-4 MB extra we need to figure out which combination is working. I don't have too much more time available so I hope someone can look deeper into this.
