Re: ****UPDATED**** C-ApiSRO - XM & Sirius Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

For those of you who seem to be having issues with C-ApiSRO getting a channel list, logging in, or streaming music then the following is for you. Microsoft has a tool available that does network diagnostics on your Windows Mobile device. It's free to download and can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en.

What I'd like you to do is download their network analyzing tool and perform the following steps:
  1. This is the most important step. USE A TRIAL/GUEST ACCOUNT for the provider you are having trouble with. The network analyzer WILL give me your username/password, so create a trial account that you are willing to share with me. Again, DO NOT USE YOUR REAL USERNAME/PASSWORD, because I will see this.
  2. Go to either the Sirius or XM website and play music from their online player using your new username & password. This is to verify that all is working perfectly with your new trial account. Please do not skip this step. It is important that you make sure it works correctly before we introduce C-ApiSRO into the equation.
  3. Install the Network Analyzer from Microsoft. Make sure you download the correct one; Pocket PC or Smart Phone. You have a Pocket PC if you have a touch screen.
  4. DISCONNECT FROM ACTIVE SYNC. Please execute these tests while using your Providers network, not Active Sync.
  5. Start up C-ApiSRO, BUT DO NOT LOGIN AT THIS TIME. Just open it up.
  6. Enable logging for C-ApiSRO by going to Menu->Settings and clicking on the "Enable Logging" option. The option to enable logging is done from the Main screen, so you may have to cancel out of the login dialog to gain access.
  7. Once C-ApiSRO logging is enabled open up the login dialog and get ready to login. DO NOT LOGIN AT THIS TIME. Just have the login screen ready to go.
  8. Open the File Explorer and traverse to the "\Program Files\Network Analyzer" folder. When you installed the Network Analyzer you chose to install it on your Device or Storage Card. This folder will be wherever you installed it.
  9. Execute (click on) the startcenetutils.exe file. This file will start the network analyzer. A dialog should appear with the "Start Analyzer' done" text. You can close this dialog.
  10. Go back to C-ApiSRO and log into the satellite provider of your choice. Again, USE A TEMPORARY GUEST ACCOUNT.
  11. Do whatever it is you need to do to get the problem you are having.
  12. Once you have reproduced the problem disable C-ApiSRO logging by unchecking the "Enable Logging" option in the Main->Settings dialog. If you don't do this then you can't access the C-ApiSRO log file.
  13. Go back to the "\Program Files\Network Analyzer" folder in the File Explorer and click on the stopcenetutils.exe file. This will stop the network analyzer. MAKE SURE YOU STOP THE ANALYZER OR IT WILL CONSUME PRECIOUS FILE SPACE ON YOUR DEVICE.
  14. After stopping the analyzer you will get a dialog telling you where the log files are. Please take all files in that folder and send them to me. Use Active Sync to retrieve those files, or you can send them via e-mail directly from your phone. DO NOT POST THE LOG FILES ON THIS FORUM. Please send me a private message with that information.
  15. Grab the C-ApiSRO log file and include that with the Network Analyzer log files. You can find the log file in "\Program Files\C-ApiSRO\log" folder. It is named "log.txt".
Hopefully I will get all the information I need to fully understand why you are experiencing problems. Please DO NOT post your log files in this forum. Send an e-mail or private message directly to me with your information.
