The battery doesn't need to be at 50%.
1. Manually put the device in BOOTLOADER mode by holding power and vol down buttons, using the stylus to hit the reset, and continuing to hold power and vol down until tri-color screen appears.
2. Connect via usb
3. Run UpdateUtility
4. Enjoy EnergyRom!
