For the love of everything technology, NO! Lithium-ion based batteries should NOT be run to the bottom... at least, not very often, and not as a first choice. They should not be stored in hot locations either.

They should be kept in cool locations, and it is better to keep them topped-off (so plug-in when you can) as much as possible.

Any search on Lithium Ion technology will confirm these tips and more. I am particularly fond of this article.
