Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

the only thing I can think of that an official ROM might help with is...we can have .exe's for our ROMS lol. that's about it.

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

ther is gonna be other things that will be improved on. I was told screen isues was a big upgrade among other things. I am pretty sure gps is not the problem with the release.

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

Don't count on it.

I would expect very little difference from cc20.

Any release notes or changes in the official rom are pure speculation, for what its worth. There is absolutely no commnucation, and none of the verizon reps or techs know squat.

In fact, my 6.1 rom runs a newer version of 6.1 than what Verizon and Samsung will provide on any official rom.

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

I installed qgps, but I can't find the gps settings in the main menu. Gmaps just tells me it can't find the satelite.

Do I have to subscribe to VZnavigator and/or install that cab in order to find gps in the settings?

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

Bah. Tried it on Telus' Omnia, downloads successfully, but still takes forever to get a lock

I guess I'll have to stick with Telus' unlocked-but-takes-half-an-hour-to-lock-if-ever GPS

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

HTC Quick GPS.

I have modded it so that it works in WQVGA now, doesnt require M2D, and is reg and exe patched to connect fine. Please test it.

It will require an active net connection first, I am sure. This one downloads a file called xtra.bin, which is specifically for qualcomm GPS (ours).
