Re: Samsung Omnia reviews.

Robtao...you seem to have really thought this out while deciding on the Omnia, and it looks like your certainly getting a lot out of it already!! Now that we have means to unlock the GPS and custom ROMs are just around the corner, this will be the complete device for you!!!

Re: Samsung Omnia reviews.

Thanks, syrguy.

Just flashed the new leaked ROM this AM, and the new cooked ROM in the last hour. I am a flash junkie again.

Now with 55.5 MB of Storage Free
and with 59.5 of Program Free.

Re: Samsung Omnia reviews.

How is that cooked ROM? I like being able to have unique cooked ROMs now, but I must admit to not wanting to flash every ROM to come down the pipe, I will wait for 'the' one for me!!

Re: Samsung Omnia reviews.

yeah I a just waiting to see if this new cooked ROM is nice and stable and the bugs worked out. A nice lite ROM with a few of the good apps pre-installed...works for me..

Re: Samsung Omnia reviews.

Anyone live in the Phoenix area on Verizon that can comment on signal stregth? On my 6700 I get a consistent 3/4 bars I haven't received over 2 bars since I got the phone and normally have none. Is it an issue with the phone or a defective unit? Anuy comments would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Samsung Omnia reviews.

Ok.. So I had the VZW Touch Pro before this phone for about a week.... I couldn't believe what a piece of junk the touch pro was... with the original rom it was worthless... with any other custom rom it was running out of memory... the 6 hr battery life... the peeling front face sticker ... and the annoying light show while it's charging... Needless to say within a week I was ready to shove the phone in a garbage disposal.

I got the omnia within my 30 day return policy as the only other logical choice for a smart phone ( I mean c'mon... a blackberry? )... I couldn't be happer with this phone. This is the best phone I have ever had.. I love the original rom enough not to update to a custom one.

so far the battery life is amazing ( compaired to the TP )
the UI of the original rom is quite nice ( I hate TF3D.. It's annoying )
I'm used to the resolution ( I had a HTC apache back in the day )
So far the software is solid ( So far that is )
Media Playback is NICE!

I'd reccomend the omnia to anyone
Best WM phone I've had so far

I'm out in surprise... but I drive through down town alot... so far the data and phone have yet to fail

As for signal.. I haven seen anything below 2 bars..
I even get 2 bars at the Grand Canyon ( Tusayan ).. where my Env2 used to roam

My favorite phone yet.
Just make sure you ditch the factory ROM ASAP!
